The role of lubricants
Lubricants are additives added to improve the fluidity and demolding properties of plastics, especially thermoplastics, during processing and molding. The main function of lubricants is to reduce the friction between plastic materials and processing machinery and between molecules inside plastic materials during processing, thereby improving the processing properties of plastics and improving the performance of products. Excellent lubricants should meet the following requirements:
① Good dispersibility;
② Appropriate compatibility with polymers;
③ Good thermal stability;
④ No damage to the physical properties of the final product;
⑤ No effect on color drift;
⑥ Non-toxic;
⑦ Low price.
